On March 11th,2016 as it was scheduled, The Shepherd of the Diocese Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Ponniah blessed and opened a new Community Hall at the premise of Our Lady of Perpetual help Shrine, Aiyithiyamalai. This Community Hall is a multi purpose hall, which will be used by the area people for community meetings, and tuition classes for the school children. Using this hall children can stay even over nights and do their studies. During festive time this also could be used as a place for the pilgrims to stay. This project is funded by one of the parishioners in Germany. Rev. Fr. Marl Shanthy , the Procurator General of Colombo was the mediator of this project.
